Please click through the tabs at the top of this text to learn all about custom ring options

Sounds expensive?

We understand that a lot of people charge a lot of money for custom work, but the truth is we love to work on custom designs. Below are the considerations for how we will price your ring.

Processing your own materials takes us a little extra time so comes with a small additional cost (depending on material).

Switching the wood in one of our designs for another stock wood won't cost you any more at all.

Switching the metal inlays for a different metal we offer won't cost you more unless you are switching to 18ct Gold.

Sourcing special materials for you, we will charge you the cost of the additional materials.

Using some of our heritage materials? Naturally these cost more than our stock woods we offer so there will be an additional charge.

In short we will charge for additional production time used and additional materials used, but we will not charge you more for the privilege of having a custom design made, we won't charge you for the time we have spent designing it with you and we will try wherever possible to keep our prices inline with the ones you see on our stock design rings in our store.

We stock a selection of woods that have either a historical or culturally significant story, below are some examples of woods we have in stock -

All rings made with woods that fall under our Heritage woods category will be supplied with certificates of authenticity confirming the source of the wood used.

We can incorporate your own materials into a ring of your design, most materials can be used in some way or another.

You might imagine it will be expensive to have us make a ring with your materials or a mixture of yours and ours, but the truth is we love custom work, so we keep the prices inline with the stock designs you find on our website. It takes us a little more time to prepare and process your materials for use, so it will cost you just a little bit more to cover this.

Examples of some materials and how we can use them are listed below.

Wood -

We regularly use pieces of wood supplied by customers for their rings. Most wood is suitable to be used in some way even if it can not be used to form the entire ring. We often use one of our stock woods as a liner and feature your wood on the outside of the ring. The wood is planed into shaved curls and built up in layers around the circumference of the ring to form the outside, or a featured section on the outside. If the wood is not suitable for this, then inlays of wood chips can be used instead.

Metal -

We do not melt metals at inGrained rings so we feature your metals in other ways. We have utilised gold and other metals from vintage rings supplied by customers to create new inlays or feature sections of rings. We use metal as fine swarf shavings, small chips, or even filed into a metal powder. All of these create interesting, textured and unique options for the outside of your ring.

Dried or false flowers -

We use a fair amount of dried flowers for our floral ring collection and we can use yours also. We have used flowers from client's weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, native homelands and special places to create rings.

Fabric -

Want to use a piece of fabric from a loved one's clothing? A section of an old military uniform? Your lucky wedding socks? Most types of fabric can be used as a feature within your ring.

Stone -

Collected some stones from your favourite place? The place you got engaged? Or your own garden? We can use your stones within a ring, on their own or mixed with coloured stones of your choice. Your stones will need to be chipped or crushed by us for use.

Sand -

Much like the stone above we have used sand from beaches special to our customers. Sand creates unique and often contrasting inlays for a bentwood ring.
