Bentwood Wedding Rings vs Traditional Wooden Rings - What is Right for You?
Strength and Durability
Solid wood wedding rings are carved from a single piece of wood, making them prone to splitting along the grain. Bentwood wedding bands, by contrast, use layered grain orientation, greatly improving resistance to cracking.

Longevity
Bentwood rings are better suited for long-term wear, making them a more reliable choice for engagement and wedding bands. The laminated structure gives long term strength.
Bentwood Wedding Rings vs Metal Wedding Rings
Comfort and Weight
Bentwood wedding rings are significantly lighter than metal bands, improving comfort, especially for those not accustomed to wearing rings.
Temperature Neutrality
Wood does not conduct heat or cold, unlike metal wedding rings that can become uncomfortable in extreme temperatures.
Unique, Symbolic Appearance
No two wood wedding rings are alike. Grain variation ensures every bentwood ring is truly one of a kind, an appealing quality for couples seeking a meaningful and unique wedding bands.
Hypoallergenic and Non-Conductive
Bentwood rings are ideal for individuals with metal sensitivities or professions where metal rings pose a safety risk.
Eco-Friendly
Our wooden rings are made from FSC certified timbers and reclaimed woods, we love to repurpose scraps of veneer and discarded blocks of wood into rings that have meaning to the wearer. They truly are eco wood rings.

Are Bentwood Wedding Rings Durable Enough for Everyday Wear?
When properly made and finished, bentwood wedding rings are absolutely suitable for daily wear.
They are waterproof, coated in a strong finish and constructed with a technique that makes them hard to crush.
However they do require a little extra care, avoiding heavy duty tasks like brick laying whilst wearing them would be advised, to prevent scraping on rough surfaces, or heavy impacts.
You can wear them in baths and showers without issue, however treated pools and hot tubs should be avoided to prolong the life of the finish.
We provide a small leather pouch free with each of our rings, for safe storage should you choose to remove it.
I personally have been wearing my ring full time for the past year, I have not taken it off for any task. Not when using tools or machinery in my workshop, not when gardening, not when bathing or showering and I have even worn it without gloves whilst breaking up and moving 10 tons of concrete from my garden.
I have not refinished it and although it has some small scuffs none of these have penetrated through to the wood allowing ingress of moisture. Structurally the ring is as strong as it was the day I made it.
